Edi was able to finish the 5th stage from Ekaterinburg to Tyumen on the first place, winning his 2nd stage in the Red Bull Trans Siberian Extreme. For the 320 kilometres leg the riders needed 9h 51m 41s. With an attack on the last kilometres Edi managed to reduce his deficit to the leader by several minutes.
Today’s stage marked the beginning of an increase in stage length in the next days –620 km to Omsk are waiting on tomorrow’s leg to Omsk. Edi is confident to further reduce the time gap to the leading solo-rider Alexey Shebelin.
